SAMBRA Toolbox - Empowering excellence in autobody repair
The South African Motor Body Repairers’ Association (SAMBRA) announced the national launch of its comprehensive SAMBRA Toolbox in December 2024 - a ground breaking resource, designed exclusively for members and aimed at empowering members to achieve operational excellence and industry transformation.
Juan Hanekom, National Director of SAMBRA, explains that as the leading motor body repairer association in the country it is constantly looking at ways to add value to members and enhance skills. “The Toolbox is designed as a business process resource for members, with 28 modules covering best practices, expert insights and actionable guidance in customer-facing, workshop, and administrative operations. This initiative represents SAMBRA’s commitment to supporting our members with practical tools to streamline operations and deliver top-tier service,” says Hanekom.
Members can use it to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to their businesses and create a complete Operational Manual to optimise efficiency and professionalism. Hanekom says to ensure members fully benefit from the Toolbox, SAMBRA will host a series of webinar training sessions throughout 2025. These sessions will focus on educating members on best practices and guiding them on how to use the Toolbox effectively.
The Toolbox also aims to promote inclusivity and transformation within the motor body repair industry, particularly empowering developing members such as those in the National African Association for Automobile Service Providers (NAAASP). “Our training initiatives for NAAASP members will include in-depth online workshops and tailored support, reinforcing SAMBRA’s leadership in fostering sustainable and inclusive growth,” he adds.
SAMBRA is positioning the Toolbox as a pivotal and differentiating tool for its members to maintain competitive edge and stay aligned with evolving industry standards in 2025. “Access to such a comprehensive resource ensures our members can consistently deliver the highest standards in customer care, workshop efficiency, and administrative operations,” notes Hanekom.
The development underscores SAMBRA’s ongoing dedication to member empowerment and its role as a leader in promoting transformation, operational excellence, and sustainability within the motor body repair sector.
SAMBRA is a proud association of the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI).
