Obituary – automotive aftermarket media’s loss

 

Greg Surgeon, well-known and respected advertising sales executive for Automobil, the RMI’s official monthly journal, sadly passed earlier this week. Greg was involved in South Africa’s automotive aftermarket for almost 30 years through his various senior roles in media advertising at Automobil, Autoforum and Autoinsight.

 

His fierce commitment to Automobil within the automotive aftermarket, resulted in many loyal advertisers over the years. Greg’s experienced insights via his wide interaction with the aftermarket sector, aided many advertisers to focus their marketing initiatives to the best advantage, within the publication he represented.

 

First and foremost a family man, he would fondly recount their achievements to friends and work colleagues. A man of integrity, generosity and a loyal friend, Greg’s passing has saddened all who knew him. Greg is survived by his daughter Samantha, grand-daughter Hayleigh and sister Ingrid.
