MIWA to host SpannerTorque Pavilion at Automechanika Jhb 2025
Following the success of its dedicated SpannerTorque Pavilion at Automechanika Johannesburg last year, the Motor Industry Workshop Association (MIWA) is proud to announce that it will once again host a special SpannerTorque showcase at this year’s event and this time, it’s set to be even bigger and better.
Taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 28 October 2025, Automechanika remains the premier networking and business development event for South Africa’s automotive aftermarket. The 2025 SpannerTorque Pavilion will expand its footprint to include a dedicated hospitality lounge, designed to provide a relaxed yet professional environment where MIWA members, suppliers, and industry stakeholders can connect, collaborate, and share insights.
Confirmed exhibitors already include Bosch, EquipTech (distributors of LAUNCH in South Africa), Shell, DRiV, Mahle, GUD, Hella, ATE and GreenDrive. Each partner will bring its latest product innovations, diagnostic solutions, and workshop technologies to the Pavilion offering visitors hands-on exposure to the tools and systems shaping the future of the aftermarket.
Since its launch in 2024, SpannerTorque has evolved into a recognised platform for engagement, education, and innovation. Regularly featured in MIWA’s national communications and showcased at flagship Motor Mech events around the country, it has become a valuable channel for highlighting the cutting-edge products and technical advancements that support South Africa’s independent workshops.
“SpannerTorque was developed to bring our members closer to the solutions and technologies shaping the aftermarket,” says MIWA National Director, Pieter Niemand. “Automechanika provides the ideal stage to broaden that audience, giving members an opportunity to connect directly with our partners, while also enabling those partners to engage with a wider membership base and key aftermarket stakeholders. We are particularly excited about this year’s exhibition and the new hospitality area, which will give everyone more space and opportunity to collaborate. We believe it will once again be highly informative and beneficial for all parties.”
Automechanika is more than just an exhibition - it’s a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, relationship building, and brand exposure. For MIWA, the Pavilion not only underscores the Association’s commitment to supporting the growth and professionalism of its members, but also strengthens its partnerships with the key suppliers driving innovation in the sector.
“Platforms like this allow the industry to see, touch, and experience the tools and technologies that will define tomorrow’s workshops,” adds Niemand. “They foster real collaboration and ensure that independent service providers remain at the forefront of global repair and maintenance trends.” The MIWA SpannerTorque Pavilion will once again be one of the must-visit attractions at Automechanika Johannesburg 2025, serving as a vibrant meeting point for the country’s workshop community and their supplier network.
