Equip Auto 2017 opens in October

The next staging of the Equip Auto event will take place from 17 to 21 October at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Halls 1, 2.2 and 3, extending over a surface area of 100,000 sqm and hosting 1,400 exhibitors and 95,000 professionals.

The event organisers have confirmed that stand bookings and options received to date, are up up 5% on the 2015 show, promising an even better show than previous stagings. The theme for the event “Repairing today, preparing tomorrow” is supported by the French Federation of Vehicle Industries and Equipment (FIEV) and the French Bodywork Federation (FFC).

The 2017 staging will be focused around the following 4 issues:

- Profitably maintaining existing automobile fleet,

- Diversifying business activities to develop turnover and retain customers,

- Adapting companies and workshops in a market transformed by digital technology,

- Preparing workshops for the arrival of connected, and subsequently autonomous, vehicles. Other highlights include exhibitions that will cover: the reduction of pollutant emissions and new engine technologies; connected and autonomous vehicles, coming soon to workshops; the interconnectedness of mechanics, bodyworkers and specialists; solutions for preventive repair and maintenance; basic and vocational training for skill development; and remanufactured parts and circular economy.
